I was extremely honored and excited to be featured in April's Pinhole Pro photography magazine in an article titled, Creating a Successful Studio: Blossom Blue Photography.
The interview covers topics like the inspiration behind my photography studio name, what's in my camera bag and how I prep for the busy wedding and portrait photography season.
I was also asked for my advice to budding wedding photographers which gave me a chance to really reflect on wedding and portrait photography and why I do it. I whole heartedly believe in giving back to other photographers and helping them to develop their art however possible. These are the eight topics that I cover in the advice portion of the article.
- Not every client is your client.
- The importance of wedding timelines.
- Showing and including what photography products you want to sell.
- Why having a speciality is really key.
- Why you should pay yourself fairly and use only premium photo products.
- Stop comparing yourself to others.
- The importance of insurance.
- Why generosity and love should always shine through your work.
Thank you to Pinhole Pro for highlighting my work as a wedding and portrait photographer. You can read the full article here: http://bit.ly/1GZrsUB.
