Nourish Body & Mind
August is a hectic month for all of us. A lot of you have kids that are back to school. Some of you went on summer adventures and wish you had just a few more days while others may not have had a break yet and are at risk of burning out. Transitioning from summer into fall isn't always as easy as we'd like it to be...especially in this heat! Here are a few great tips we've gathered to help nourish your body and mind.
Greet the Morning with Ease
Try and prep for your morning as much as you can the night before. Make lunches, set up the coffee pot, lay out clothes. The less you have to do in the AM the better. Starting your morning off rushed can set the tone for the entire day.
Just Say No to Back to School Sales
All of those school supplies will still be there and they'll probably be on sale after the rush. Better to avoid the lines and the madness. The holidays will be here soon enough! :)
Stop, Breathe & Relax
Sometimes it's easier to say than do, but designating time to become present and slow down your thought pattern can make a significant difference in how you feel and how you cope with the day to day.
Unschedule your Children
Kids are so busy these days! Extracurricular activities are great but do try and schedule a free day after school where they can properly unwind. Downtime is just as important for them as it is for you.
